Any imput is welcome.
Thank You!
It is very good.
AVG Free has consistently beaten a lot of the piad for anti-virus services. It is not as good as some, but arguably there is no best in the field as it depends how fast the updates come out.
How I rate AVG:
My husband had it and got a virus that did damage.
Others on here had it and got a virus.
How I rate AVAST
I've had it for 5 years and
anytime a virus TRIED to download, it stopped it cold, threw up and ALARM to me
and I was able to DELETE before it downloaded and did any harm.
Avast free Home Edition
Get it here:
http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.ht...
And please do a "thorough" scan as soon as you get it downloaded. The user interface is simple. Click the left side, and in the top menu that comes up, select thorough scan.
When it finds a culprit DELETE, (do not quaranteen).
Then allow it to run all of the time, and you will be completely protected. It will "automatically" update itself, also for free.
You only need to renew your registration once a year, also free.
I've tried them all, and have had wonderful results with this one for the last 5 years.

I've always used AVG and have never had any problems so in my opinion its great considering it costs nothing.
I use AVG along with Comodo Pro firewall and I browse with firefox, the combination of AVG and Comodo both of which are completely free offers better protection then Norton and McAfee which are bloated with useless extras that 99% of people would never need.

I've used it about a year and it does keep your computer clean. That's the positive side.
On the negative side, it runs every time you boot up and can slow your computer considerably while it's working.
If that little aggravation is acceptable, it's a great deal.
If not, you must bite the bullet and buy software.
I deal with it by starting the boot-up about 30 minutes before I need to get online.
